As we are not a 24-hour practice, we are aware there may be times you need vet care when our doors are closed. Here are our most trusted resources to help you when we’re unavailable.
Out-of-Hours Emergency
Should your pet become poorly outside of our normal working hours, please stay calm and contact your local Vetcare Surgery. Your call will be picked up by our automated telephone system, where you will have the option to be transferred to our out-of-hours service provider, currently PetMedics Veterinary Surgeons in Worsley. Their out-of-hours emergency service telephone number is 0161 794 4999 should you wish to contact them directly.

- North Wood – Head southwest on M60. Take the A666 exit towards Salford/Kearsley. Turn left onto Manchester Rd/A666. Continue to follow A666. Turn right onto Station Rd/B5231. Turn right onto Chorley Rd/A6. Continue to follow A6. Turn left onto Holloway Drive. The destination will be on the left.
- East Lancashire Road – Head west on E Lancashire Rd/A580 towards Lancaster Rd/A5185. Turn right onto Moorside Rd. Turn left onto Priestley Rd. Turn left onto Holloway Drive. The destination will be on the right.
- Newtown – Head east on Worsley St towards Bolton Rd/A666. Turn right onto Bolton Rd/A666. Turn right onto Station Rd/B5231. Turn right onto Chorley Rd/A6. Continue to follow A6. Turn left onto Holloway Drive. The destination will be on the left.
